Adopted by the Security Council at its 2411th meeting<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

on 18 January 1983<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>The Security Council,<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Recalling<\/i> its resolutions 425 (1978) and 426 (1978), and all subsequent resolutions on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Recalling further<\/i> its resolutions 508 (1982) and 509 (1982),<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Having taken note<\/i> of the letter of the Permanent Representative of Lebanon to the President of the Security Council and to the Secretary-General of 13 January 1983 (S\/15557, annex), and of the statement he made at the meeting of the Council,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Having studied<\/i> the report of the Secretary-General (S\/15557) and taken note of his observations,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Responding<\/i> to the request of the Government of Lebanon,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>1.\t<\/span>Decides<\/i> to extend the present mandate of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon for a further interim period of six months, that is, until 19 July 1983;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>2.\t<\/span>Calls upon<\/i> all parties concerned to co-operate with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon for the full implementation of this resolution;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>3.\t<\/span>Requests<\/i> the Secretary-General to report to the Council on the progress made in this respect.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
