\t<\/span>Upon resumption of the meeting, on 23 September 2002, the Council further decided to invite the representatives of Cyprus, Indonesia, Iraq, Mauritania, Morocco and Nepal to participate, without vote, in the discussion of the item.<\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>At the same meeting, in response to the request dated 23 September 2002 from the Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United Nations addressed to the President of the Security Council,<\/span>163<\/sup><\/span> the Council decided to extend an invitation, under rule 39 of its provisional rules of procedure, to Mr. Yahya Mahmassani, Permanent Observer of the League of Arab States to the United Nations.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
