PREPARATION OF THE STATUTE FOR THE CITY OF JERUSALEM<\/p><\/div>\n

Resolution adopted by the Trusteeship Council at<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

the seventh meeting on Monday, 19 December 1949<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>The Trusteeship Council<\/u>,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Considering<\/u> that the completion of the preparation of the Statute for Jerusalem, with which the Council has been charged by General Assembly resolution 303 (IV) of 9 December 1949, should be effected as soon as possible,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Entrusts<\/u> the President with the task of preparing a working paper on the Statute for Jerusalem in accordance with the resolution of the General Assembly of 9 December 1949, said working paper to be submitted to the Council at the beginning of its sixth regular session in Geneva on 19 January 1950;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Invites<\/u> the members of the Council, if they so desire, to send to the President written suggestions or observations on the provisions of the draft Statute;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Invites<\/u> the delegations now participating without vote in the deliberations on the question of Jerusalem similarly to present their views if they so desire;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Authorizes<\/u> the President to ascertain the views of any other interested Governments, institutions or organizations.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>The written suggestions and views referred to above shall be submitted to the President not later than 5 January 1950.<\/p><\/div>\n
