UNITED STATES OF AMERICA: DRAFT RESOLUTION<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\tThe Security Council<\/u>,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tRecalling<\/u> its resolutions 233 and 234,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tRecalling<\/u> that in the latter resolution the Council demanded that the Governments concerned should as a first step cease fire and discontinue military operations at 2000 hours GMT on 7 June 1967,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tNoting<\/u> that Israel and Jordan have indicated their mutual acceptance of the Council's demand for a cease-fire, and that Israel has expressed with respect to all parties its acceptance of the cease-fire provided the other parties accept,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tNoting further<\/u> with deep concern that other parties to the conflict have not yet agreed to a cease-fire,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t1.\t<\/span>Calls for<\/u> scrupulous compliance by Israel and Jordan with the agreement they have reached on a cease-fire;\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t2.\t<\/span>Insists<\/u> that all the other parties concerned immediately comply with the Council's repeated demands for a cease-fire and cessation of all military activity as a first urgent step toward the establishment of a stable peace in the Middle East;\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t3.\t<\/span>Calls for<\/u> discussions promptly thereafter among the parties concerned, using such third party or United Nations assistance as they may wish, looking toward the establishment of viable arrangements encompassing the withdrawal and disengagement of armed personnel, the renunciation of force regardless of its nature, the maintenance of vital international rights and the establishment of a stable and durable peace in the Middle East;\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t4.\t<\/span>Requests<\/u> the President of the Security Council and the Secretary-General to take immediate steps to seek to assure compliance with the cease-fire and to report, to the Council thereon within twenty-four hours;\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t5.\t<\/span>Also requests<\/u> the Secretary-General to provide such assistance as may be required in facilitating the discussions called for in paragraph 3.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
