The Chief of Staff of UNTSO, Major-General Ensio Siilasvuo, has submitted the following report on incidents observed by United Nations military observers and complaints received from the parties on 25 October 1972:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\tIsrael-Lebanon sector<\/u>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t1.\t<\/span>OP 1<\/u>\/ reports:\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tOP Ras:  Between 0355 2<\/u>\/ and 1510 Israel forces personnel, armoured personnel carrier and trailer reoccupied position at approximate MR 1907-2749 north of border pillar 19.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t2.\t<\/span>Complaints by the parties:\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tComplaints have been received from Lebanon alleging that:\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(a)\t<\/span>On 24 <\/i>October between 0700 and 0730 six Israel forces jet aircraft overflew the Lebanese regions of Naqpura (approximate MR 1629-2805), Saida, Beirut and Tripoli.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(b)\t<\/span>On 24 October between 0855 and 0910 two Israel forces jet aircraft overflew the Lebanese regions of Naqoura, Sour (approximate MR 169-297) and Saida.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(c)\t<\/span>On 24 October between 1325 and 1335 one Israel forces jet aircraft overflew the Lebanese regions of El Khiam (approximate MR 2075-3035), Hasbaiya (approximate MR 2147-3115), Rachaiya El Ouadi (approximate MR 2285-3220) and Marjayoun (approximate MR 2056-30710.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tComplaint (a) was partially confirmed by United Nations observation for that portion within the observation range of OP (see S\/7930\/Add.l778, paragraph 2 (a)). Regarding complaint (b) OP Naq reported jet sounds at 0915-Regarding complaint (c), OP Khiam reported jet sounds between 1313 and 1323.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tIsrael-Syria sector <\/u>OP reports:\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(a)\t<\/span>OP Yoke:  Between l4lO and l420 sporadic machine-gun fire by Israel forces.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(b)\t<\/span>OP Five:  Between l442 and l443 machine-gun fire by Israel forces\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
