28.\t<\/span>Mr. Haj Ibrahim<\/strong> (Syria) said that, on the basis of its compliance with international law, international humanitarian law and the Charter of the United Nations, his country supported international cooperation for the development of international law and its institutions and for the creation of important new legal institutions such as the International Criminal Court. Such a Court was essential in bringing to justice the perpetrators of acts of aggression, war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide, which included those responsible for the Israeli massacres carried out in southern Lebanon and the Palestinian occupied territories, particularly during the previous 10 days, when over 100 defenceless young Palestinians had been brutally killed and vicious armed attacks had been mounted on Palestinian towns and villages.<\/p><\/div>\n
