\t<\/span>In my capacity as Chairman of the Group of Islamic States at the United Nations, I have the honour to request the Security Council to extend an invitation, under rule 39 of its provisional rules of procedure, to Mr. Ahmad Haji Hosseini, Acting Permanent Observer for the Organization of the Islamic Conference to the United Nations, to participate in the meeting of the Council to be held on Monday, 20 August 2001, on the item entitled “The situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian Question”.<\/p><\/div>\n
