    Report of the Secretary-General on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (S\/2004\/50) <\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

  The President<\/strong> (spoke in Spanish<\/i> ): The Security Council will now begin its consideration of the item on its agenda. The Council is meeting in accordance with the understanding reached in its prior consultations. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  Members of the Council have before them the report of the Secretary-General on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, document <\/i><\/span>S\/2004\/50<\/i><\/a>. Members of the Council also have before them document S\/2004\/78, which contains the text of a draft resolution prepared in the course of the Council’s prior consultations. I should also like to draw attention to documents <\/i><\/span>S\/2004\/6<\/i><\/a>, <\/i><\/span>S\/2004\/15,<\/i><\/a> <\/i><\/span>S\/2004\/35<\/i><\/a>, <\/i><\/span>S\/2004\/54<\/i><\/a> and <\/i><\/span>S\/2004\/55<\/i><\/a>, submitted by Lebanon, and document <\/i><\/span>S\/2004\/61<\/i><\/a>, submitted by Israel. <\/i><\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  It is my understanding that the Council is ready to proceed to the vote on the draft resolution before it. Unless I hear any objection, I shall now put the draft resolution to the vote. <\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

 There being no objection, it is so decided.<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  A vote was taken by show of hands.<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  The Security Council has thus concluded the present stage of its consideration of the item on its agenda. <\/p><\/div>\n
