   Addendum<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

  Pursuant to rule 11 of the provisional rules of procedure of the Security Council, and in accordance with paragraph 7 of the note by the President dated 19 December 2007 (S\/2007\/749), the Secretary-General is submitting the following summary statement. <\/p><\/div>\n

  The complete list of items of which the Security Council was seized as at 5 July 2008 is contained in document S\/2008\/10\/Add.26 of 10 July 2008. <\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

  The present addendum lists the items on which the Security Council took action during the week ending 26 July 2008. The dates given for each item indicate when the item was first taken up by the Council at a formal meeting, and the most recent formal meeting of the Council held on that item. <\/p><\/div>\n

  The Security Council resumed its consideration of the item at its <\/span>5940th meeting<\/a>, held on 22 July 2008. The Council, under rule 37 of its provisional rules of procedure, invited the representatives of Argentina, Cuba, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Qatar and the Syrian Arab Republic, at their request, to participate in the consideration of the item without the right to vote. Under rule 39 of its provisional rules of procedure, the Council extended an invitation to B. Lynn Pascoe, Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs. <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

  In response to the request contained in a letter dated 18 July 2008 from the Permanent Observer of Palestine to the United Nations addressed to the President of the Security Council (S\/2008\/473), the President, in accordance with the rules of procedure and the previous practice in this regard, invited the Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Permanent Observer Mission of Palestine to participate in the meeting. <\/p><\/div>\n
