A Committee Delegation, headed by Chair Ambassador Cheikh Niang, travelled to Riyadh, after the CEIRPP-OIC Jerusalem Symposium in Jeddah on 1 July, at the invitation of the Government of Saudi Arabia. The Delegation included Vice-Chairs Ambassador Arrmanatha C. Nasir (Indonesia), Amb. Ahmad Faisal Muhamad (Malaysia), Amb. Neville Melvin Gertze (Namibia) and Amb. Jaime Hermida Castillo (Nicaragua), as well as Observer to the Committee Amb. Riyad H. Mansour (State of Palestine).

In Riyadh, on 2 July, the Delegation met with counterparts at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among them the Deputy Minister of Multilateral International Affairs, Mr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Rassi, and the Director General of the General Department of Regional Organisations, Mr. Abdullah Al-Hamdan. During the meeting, the sides discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian crisis, aspects of joint cooperation between the Kingdom and the UN Palestinian Rights Committee to support the Palestinian people, and the efforts made in this regard.

The Committee Delegation also met with representatives of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief), who informed about their support to the Palestinian people and requested the Committee to assist the political efforts to deconflict the delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza. Since the start of the Gaza war, KSRelief has pledged US$55 million to UNRWA since the start of the Gaza war, amidst the Agency¡¯s critical shortage of funding.
