The annual Peace Bell Ceremony ahead of the International Day of Peace, under this year¡¯s theme ¡°Invest in Peace ¨C For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day¡±. The President chairs the General Committee, which makes recommendations to the General Assembly on the adoption of the agenda, the allocation of items and the organisation of the work of the session. The Assembly considers the Committee¡¯s first report at a plenary meeting on 12 September.
