The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Khalilur Rahman, met with Mr. Jonathan Powell, National Security Adviser of the United Kingdom. They exchanged views on strengthening the multilateral system, underlining the imperative of Member State-led reform.
Both agreed that a multistakeholder political solution is necessary to resolve the ongoing Rohingya crisis, in order to provide safe and dignified repatriation of refugees to Myanmar.
