The President of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly, H.E. Khalilur Rahman, welcomed H.E. Geoffrey Hanley, Acting Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
The leaders discussed the triple planetary crisis of climate, biodiversity loss and pollution. They committed to remain engaged on issues affecting small island developing States.
The President of the General Assembly welcomed the Federation’s Sustainable Island State Agenda as an accelerator for the Sustainable Development Goals. He also expressed his hope for a strong Climate Conference upcoming in Antalya and promised to work with small island developing States throughout the eighty-first session.
