The President refers to the United Nations Declaration on Sea Level Rise approved by the high-level meeting on addressing the existential threats posed by sea level rise on 24 September 2026. Further to General Assembly decision 78/558, he has submitted the political declaration, to be annexed to draft resolution A/81/L.3, for consideration by the General Assembly at a plenary meeting on 12 October 2026. The full programme for the meeting will be published in the Journal of the United Nations.
