{"id":249946,"date":"2023-01-23T14:08:09","date_gmt":"2023-01-23T19:08:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.un.org\/pga\/77\/?p=249946"},"modified":"2023-02-02T14:10:09","modified_gmt":"2023-02-02T19:10:09","slug":"249946","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.un.org\/pga\/77\/2023\/01\/23\/249946\/","title":{"rendered":"Noon Briefing Highlights &#8211; 23 January 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>NOON BRIEFING HIGHLIGHTS <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Spokesperson for General Assembly President Csaba K\u0151r\u00f6si<br \/>\nUnited Nations Headquarters, New York<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Monday, 23 January 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>BILATERALS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>President Csaba K\u0151r\u00f6si will today meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, Mr. Roberto Alvarez.<\/p>\n<p>They will be joined by Ambassador Jos\u00e9 Blanco, the Permanent Representative of the Dominican Republic, here at the Headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will be to discuss matters relevant to the United Nations agenda, in particular the UN Water Conference.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier today, President K\u0151r\u00f6si met with Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the Permanent Representative of the United States.\u00a0 Related tweet: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/UN_PGA\/status\/1617549673606045696\">https:\/\/twitter.com\/UN_PGA\/status\/1617549673606045696<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>This afternoon, the President will be speaking with Ambassador Satyendra Prasad, the Permanent Representative of Fiji.<\/p>\n<p>Sustainability is and will be on the agenda for those bilaterals. As well as forthcoming events in the General Assembly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TOMORROW<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Looking to tomorrow\u2026<\/p>\n<p>At 10AM in the ECOSOC is the Special Meeting on \u201csocial and economic measures to prevent genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity.\u201d President K\u0151r\u00f6si will have remarks.<\/p>\n<p>He will also speak that day to the UNESCO event for the International Day of Education.\u00a0 The event starts at 10AM in the Trusteeship Council but the President will speak between 11am and noon.<\/p>\n<p>The General Assembly will hold informal consultations on the high-level meeting on pandemic prevention, preparedness and response.<br \/>\n<strong>QUESTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There were no questions for the Spokesperson.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NOON BRIEFING HIGHLIGHTS Spokesperson for General Assembly President Csaba K\u0151r\u00f6si United Nations Headquarters, New York Monday, 23 January 2023 &nbsp;
