The President of the 76th?Session of the General Assembly His Excellency Abdulla Shahid met with the Foreign Minister of Sweden, Her Excellency Anne Linde, on the sidelines of the Stockholm+50 International Meeting.
The President congratulated the Government of Sweden on hosting the Stockholm+50 International Meeting. The President and Minister also discussed the climate and environmental concerns that needs urgent global attention.
The President and the Minister also spoke on the importance of gender-equality, and of ensuring gender parity at all levels of government. The President noted that Sweden¡¯s feminist foreign policy aligns well with the priority that his Presidency places on gender equality.
The meeting occurred in Stockholm, Sweden.
