The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. Edgars Rink¨¥vi?s, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia.
?Minister Edgars Rink¨¥vi?s expressed support to the priorities of the President of the General Assembly for the session, in particular on climate change, vaccines and COVID-19. He focused as well on the fight against the spread of disinformation and misinformation, human rights, migration and regional issues.
?The President underlined the main themes for the session ¨C ¡°five rays of hope¡± and shared ideas of implementation priorities on climate change and recovering from the coronavirus disease.?
?The meeting took place in the President¡¯s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
