The CSM Survey of Practice on Climate, Peace and Security (CPS) summarizes lessons learned, and knowledge gained from a small but growing cadre of locally based Climate, Peace and Security Advisors located within UN missions or seconded to regional organizations under the auspices of the Climate Security Mechanism (CSM), as well as UN Country Teams who have led the catalytic initiatives supported by the CSM. Drawing on CSM-supported work across countries and regions, the Survey examines the role of CPS Advisors and other interventions, identifies pathways to impact, and distills lessons and recommendations for strengthening CPS action.
