The 2022 Dakar Call to Action, adopted at the Regional Conference on Climate Change, Peace and Security in West Africa and the Sahel organized by UNOWAS and partners, called for stronger regional and national action to address climate-related security risks through conflict prevention, resilience-building, inclusive governance, and integrated climate-security policies across West Africa and the Sahel.
